Security Updates

Security updates are automatically installed to a replicated test environment on the night of release.

Once tested, security updates are applied to the live environment from 9:00pm GMT/BST.

Typically, these patches will take around 30 minutes to install, although it is expected that the service will only be briefly affected.

Software Updates

Software updates such as bug fixes or added functionality are tested in a replicated test environment before release.

Software updates are applied between 5.30pm and 8.30am GMT/BST.

If an update is deemed significant risk or involves substantial downtime we aim to provide 14 days notice.

Infrastructure Updates

Occasionally infrastructure updates are applied to provide increased stability, reliability, and performance.

If an update is deemed significant risk or involves substantial downtime we aim to provide 14 days notice.

Emergency Updates

Although unlikely, it is possible that we will encounter unplanned issues with the service, and as such we may need to make changes to ensure availability. During these events, we strive to provide as much information as possible. However, unforeseen events may arise that cannot be resolved during scheduled maintenance periods.

Uptime

We understand that your customer experience is mission critical, that's why our average uptime is 99.99% excluding scheduled maintenance. The average uptime for 2023 including all scheduled maintenance (security patches, upgrades, bug fixes) was 99.98%.
